Mandarmani: A short unforgettable trip in West Bengal
On 23rd October 2022 at around 8 am, I started my journey to Mandarmani, Digha, with my family by car and it was the first time I drove my car to such a long distance from Kolkata to Mandarmani, that took nearly 5 hours to reach the hotel in Mandarmani. The entire road via NH 16 and NH 116B, was very comfortable and smooth with a little traffic in between. We took a light food during our halt in Kolaghat. Thereafter I drove my car thoroughly and was able to reach hotel in Mandarmani at around 1 PM.
We booked our resort in "Sunview Resort", that is a very good resort with clean rooms, and good staffs. The rooms have enough spaces like 3 people can easily accomodate in a bed. After keeping our luggages, I quickly went to the swimming pool that is inside the resort and was in a mood to jump into the pool without wasting any time. However, the resort staffs said us to wait for some minutes before they would clean the water. So, we waited for 30 minutes to clean up the water in the pool and then I jumped into the pool with utmost joy. I enjoyed taking bath in the pool by playing volleyball with my family who also were enjoying their bath in the pool. So, we spent 1 hour in the swimming pool after which we asked the hotel staffs to arrange lunch for us with crab recipe. I must say that, the crab recipe was just awesome and the quality of rice and othet food items were also tasteful. The price of each crap recipe was somewhat around Rs. 250 which was a bit costly I think, but still, I had the crab recipe as to taste it in Mandarmani.
After having our lunch, we took some rest in the rooms and in the evening time, we enjoyed another moment of time with utmost joy. One thing I forgot to mention that, the resort is just a few meters away from the sea beach, which will provide you an extra charm of enjoying your mood. There is a long concrete like space inside the resort where there is a small open tent with multiple chairs placed. Tourists can gather in the tent and enjoy the evening playing music, dancing, and so on. Similarly, I had got a blutooth speaker with me which I started playing in the tent at the evening and had some snacks with my family. Realy the music, and the cool wind from the sea beach were just soothing my soul. Likewise, we completed our enjoyment in the evening and took our dinner. On the very next morning, we went to the nearby marketplace by auto, which you can easily avail over there. The market place is not so big, but you can buy various kinds of shopping items like hats, ornaments, jewellary, kid's play items, clothing materials, Seashell items etc.
On the afternoon, I went to the beach and found that there are numerous fun activities that are being enjoyed by the tourists. Some of the water activities are ATV bike rides, Jet Ski, banana boat rides. I was just walking on the beach in the evening time and the sea waves were just waving over my foot. The sunset was just happening at that time and it was fascinating to catch the sunset. At the evening, we planned to go for Digha from Mandarmani via our personal car. It took hardly 1 hour to reach Digha from Mandarmani via our car.
So on the next morning, we were set to pack our bags back to Kolkata. But all of a sudden, we again changed our mind a bit and planned to take a quick visit to Tajpur sea beach, which is approximately 23 kilometers away from Mandarmani. It took hardly 25 minutes to reach Tajpur beach via our car. The Tajpur beach is a wonderful sea beach and comparably more clean and less crowdy than Mandarmani or Digha. You can get varities of delicious fish dishes in Tajpur as it is also famous for red crabs. Finally after taking 1 hour of visit in Tajpur, we took lunch over there and headed our journey back towards Kolkata. It was a wonderful experience for the Mandarmani tour and will encourage everyone to visit this place and enjoy holiday for its scenic and natural beauty.
